Trampolí project care session

Trampolí

Psychological, psycho-pedagogical and speech-therapy care within the public school network.

"There is no medicine that cures what happiness cannot cure"

Gabriel García Márquez

Who are we?

Trampolí is a project born from the growing demand of schools and families in the Zona nord of Nou Barris, as an alternative to overstretched public services and the high cost of the private sector, providing psychological, psycho-pedagogical and speech-therapy care within the public school network, accessible to everyone.

Diversity in today's classrooms is a challenge for teachers. Pupils' specific needs — learning disorders, speech and language disorders, academic difficulties and emotional distress — paint a complex picture in schools. To help address these needs, the Trampolí project has supported more than 300 families over more than a decade, establishing itself alongside the main resources and services of Ciutat Meridiana, Vallbona and Torre Baró.

What do we do?

We carry out screenings, speech-therapy and psychological interventions aimed at children and teenagers, as well as psycho-pedagogical support, to foster the abilities of neighbourhood children, teenagers and families by developing their linguistic, academic and emotional resources and aptitudes, thus promoting community health.

We work at all times directly with everyone around children and teenagers, such as schools, open centres and public bodies.

When?

Sessions run Monday to Friday, one hour weekly or fortnightly depending on each case.

Where?

We work in schools and secondary schools in the Zona Nord area of Nou Barris, covering the neighbourhoods of Ciutat Meridiana, Torre Baró and Vallbona.

Who is it for?

The service is for children aged 3 to 11 and teenagers up to 16 in Zona Nord schools who need psychological, psycho-pedagogical and/or speech-therapy support.

We also provide family support to the children and teenagers we work with.
